Reservation Policy

Reservations may be made online or by calling 1-800-508-5277.  A valid credit card is required to hold and guarantee a reservation.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX cards.  The card is not charged at the time the reservation is made.  Payment of the "Total Price" shown on your Reservation Confirmation is due at Check-out and may be paid by credit card, cash, or personal check. 


Minimum Stay


Cabin reservations require a two-night minimum stay on weekends (Friday & Saturday) and major holidays*. 


However, we sometimes have a one-night weekend or major holiday cabin stay available.

* Major holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.




Children ages 0 to 12 may be accommodated at the cabins and stay at a reduced rate.


Children ages 13 to 18 are considered Adults and may be accommodated at the cabins  (without the requirement of a prior arrangement or multiple room reservation).


Rates/Additional Guest


Rates are based on single/double occupancy.  Additional Adult guests (ages 13 and older) are accommodated at $15 per Adult per night.  Children (ages 0 to 12) are accommodated at $7.50 per Child per night.




Well-behaved pets (3 pets maximum) are welcome at the cabins.  A charge of $5 per pet per night applies.  Owners are responsible for any property damage or personal injury caused by their pet(s) to 3rd parties and other animals. 


Breakfast/Dietary Requirements


A full breakfast is included in all rates.  Special dietary requirements for breakfast can be met with advance notice.  Please list any dietary requirement(s) in the "Special Request" section of the Reservation Form, along with the number of guests who have the special dietary requirement.  Example:  "Vegetarian-1 guest" would be written in the "Special Request" section.  




Cancelling a Reservation:  A reservation may be cancelled by calling 1-800-508-5277 and speaking to a Southwind representative, or by emailing Southwind at  A cancellation notice is effective when it is received.  A Cancellation Confirmation will be sent by email to the address included in the Reservation Form.


Cancellation Fee:  A $50 cancellation fee per cabin and/or room cancelled will be due upon receipt of a cancellation notice unless the cancellation notice is received by Southwind at least 7-days prior to the scheduled arrival date if the reservatoin is for up to two rooms/cabins, or at least 14-days in advance of the scheduled arrival date if the reservation (or group of reservations) is for more than 2 rooms/cabins.  The cancellation fee(s) due will be charged to the credit card we have on file. 


No Shows, Day of Arrival Cancellations, and Shortened Stays:  The "Total Price" of the reservation will be due in the event of a no show, day of arrival cancellation, or shortened stay.  Credit will be given for any amount we are able to realize by re-booking all or any part of the reservation. 




Smoking is permitted outdoors only. 




Hunting and weapons are not allowed on the Southwind property.
